Om 14:00 uur begon de onthulling van de nieuwe Ommoordse kip bij de ingang van Kinderboerderij de Blijde Wei. Het is een regenachtige middag maar rondom de start van het vallen van het doet wordt het wat droger.\u00a0 Het Kinderkoor houd de aanwezigen bezig met het spelen van wel bekende liederen zoals: &#8216;Old McDonalds had a farm&#8217; maar ook andere bekende thematische meezingers van weleer zoals &#8216;boer waar zijn mijn kippen&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"De Ommoordse Kip onthuld op Zaterdag 30 oktober 2021\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/D7HdWbwFtRw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1981\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1981\" style=\"width: 1152px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/prinsalexander.info\/nieuws\/rotterdam\/prinsalexander\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ingrid_kunstenaar_danny_van_walsum.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1981 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/prinsalexander.info\/nieuws\/rotterdam\/prinsalexander\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ingrid_kunstenaar_danny_van_walsum.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1152\" height=\"667\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1981\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ingrid Kruit (Links) en Danny Van Walsum (rechts) worden drooggehouden door aanwezige met paraplu.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Onder de aanwezigen waren ook Kunstenaar Danny van Walsum die de nieuwe kip heeft gemaakt alsook Ingrid Kruit die de originele kip heeft ontworpen in 1983.<\/p>\n<p>Initiatiefnemer Peter Buisman van stichting de Witte Bollen dankt als eerste alle aanwezigen, betrokkenen en sponsoren die de nieuwe kip mogelijk hebben gemaakt. Daarna vertelt hij een stukje over de rijke geschiedenis van de kip sinds haar plaatsing op deze plek in 1983.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1985\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1985\" style=\"width: 2560px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/prinsalexander.info\/nieuws\/rotterdam\/prinsalexander\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/peter_buisman-scaled-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1985 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/prinsalexander.info\/nieuws\/rotterdam\/prinsalexander\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/peter_buisman-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1380\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1985\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Peter Buisman initiatiefnemer van Stichting de witte bollen spreekt de aanwezigen toe naast de dan nog niet onthulde nieuwe kip.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Daarna is Ron Davids van de Gebiedscommissie Prins Alexander aan het woord. Ron vertelt over de altijd grote betrokkenheid van initiateven van de Ommoorders bij de openbare ruimte en pakt ook nog even de gelegenheid aan om het nieuwe &#8216;Wijk aan zet&#8217; onder de aandacht te\u00a0 brengen, omdat de huidige Gebiedscommissie op zal houden te bestaan en over zal gaan in deze nieuwe &#8211; Per Wijk- bestuursvorm waar alleen bewoners van de wijk waar ze in wonen zich kandidaat kunnen stellen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/prinsalexander.info\/nieuws\/rotterdam\/prinsalexander\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ron_davids_spreekt_aanwezigen_toe_tijdens_onthulling_-nieuwe_kip.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1971\" src=\"https:\/\/prinsalexander.info\/nieuws\/rotterdam\/prinsalexander\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/ron_davids_spreekt_aanwezigen_toe_tijdens_onthulling_-nieuwe_kip.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1125\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Daarna is het tijd om de nieuw kip te onthullen. Rond Davids trekt het laken van het kunstwerk en de &#8220;nieuwe&#8221; kip is hiermee officieel onthuld.
